Get ready, because Lady Gaga was back at it on Monday morning, putting in the work as she filmed more scenes for the upcoming film House Of Gucci.
In the new film, the actress plays the lead role of Patrizia Reggiani, showcasing her journey through marriage, divorce, and the controversial plan to murder her ex-husband Maurizio Gucci. Gaga completed her look with a luxurious faux-fur coat, red stiletto heels, and stylish tinted sunglasses. During a bustling street scene outside a Gucci store on Rome’s Via dei Condotti, Al Pacino was seen alongside the elegant co-star Mădălina Ghenea. Pacino, who sported a chic pale suit reflecting the film’s 1980s era, portrayed the character of the late Aldo Gucci, former Chairman of the iconic Italian fashion brand.
Colorful: Gaga turned heads in a bold red gown as she stepped onto the Italian set for her most recent appearance.
On the film set, all is calm as Al Pacino is accompanied by the stunning Mădălina Ghenea while shooting their latest scenes in the picturesque streets of Rome.
Looking fabulous: Gaga once again stepped into the fashionable shoes of Reggiani for her new movie, which is based on Sara Gay Forden’s novel “The House of Gucci: A Sensational Story of Murder, Madness, Glamour, and Greed.” Ghenea, a 33-year-old Romanian actress, brought a touch of elegance to the film, although her specific role remains a mystery. She was seen on set blowing kisses and waving to onlookers before rushing into a waiting car. In the meantime, Adam Driver, who plays Maurizio Gucci, was noticeably absent from the set in Italy as his co-stars began filming.
Bitterness: Reggiani, known as the ‘Black Widow’, was convicted of hiring a hitman for €300,000 to kill Maurizio Gucci, a 46-year-old heir of the fashion empire founded in 1921 by Guccio Gucci, a leather merchant from Florence. The business prospered after the Depression and World War Two, with Aldo Gucci expanding it to Paris, New York, and Tokyo, turning the family name into a global fashion icon. As celebrities like Jackie Kennedy embraced Gucci products, the brand grew to include 14 stores and 46 franchised boutiques worldwide by 1974. Maurizio, Guccio’s grandson, took over the company from the board of directors after Aldo’s imprisonment for tax evasion in 1986 at the age of 81. However, he would be the last family member to lead the business as it was gradually bought out by investment bankers. In 1993, Maurizio sold his stake to a Bahrain-based company for $170 million.
Shady: Gaga completed her outfit by putting on a set of darkly shaded sunglasses while casually hanging out with the crew on the film set.
Walking alongside each other, the American celebrity was seen with a security guard by her side as she navigated through the Rome filming location on Monday.
Hustle and Bustle: The outside set was alive with crew members getting ready for another day of filming. The movie, which tells the story of Reggiani’s shocking plan to kill her former husband, is based on Sara Gay Forden’s book, The House of Gucci: A Scandalous Tale of Murder, Insanity, Elegance, and Avarice. Known as the ‘Black Widow’, Reggiani was convicted of hiring a hitman for €300,000 (£240,000) to assassinate Maurizio Gucci, a 46-year-old heir to the fashion dynasty, in 1995. He had left her a decade earlier after claiming he was going on a short business trip, only to start a relationship with another woman. Angry at her ex-husband’s new relationships and worried about her daughters’ $170 million inheritance, Reggiani was said to have ordered the hit to secure more money than the $650,000 she had been offered in a divorce settlement. She eventually enlisted the help of hitman Benedetto Ceraulo, a struggling pizzeria owner, who killed Gucci as he arrived at his office in Milan. Ceraulo was later convicted and given a life sentence.
Ready to roll: Pacino and Ghenea were caught on camera rushing into a parked car while a new scene was being filmed in Rome on Monday.
Famous cameras were filming outside the trendy Gucci store located on Rome’s known Via dei Condotti.
Original: Pacino donned a light-colored suit that perfectly captured the essence of the 1980s era portrayed in the film. At 80 years old, Pacino was fully embracing his role as the late Aldo Gucci, exuding a sense of readiness and determination. She was ultimately found guilty thanks to the betrayal of her clairvoyant and trusted companion Pina Auriemma, who decided to cooperate with authorities and reveal the details of the conspiracy. Throughout the high-profile murder trial that captivated the nation, Reggiani made sure to make a fashion statement by showing up in head-to-toe Gucci attire and accessories every day. According to testimony presented in court, she had orchestrated the killing of her husband after he offered her a $650,000 divorce settlement.
Stylish: Despite limited information on Ghenea’s character in Ridley Scott’s latest movie, the Romanian actress definitely brought a touch of elegance to the film.
Clear the path: Surrounded by extras posing as eager paparazzi, the actress effortlessly embodied the persona of a prominent public figure.
Saying goodbye: Ghenea was captured on camera blowing kisses to the crowd as she made her way into her car.
Achievement: Ghenea has become a household name in Romania, beginning her journey as a model at the young age of 15, and later expanding her career into the world of acting.
Excuse me for interrupting, but it was impossible not to notice the actress as she interacted with the crew following the completion of her scene.
Ghenea looked absolutely elegant as she awaited her next scene, draped in a vintage-inspired faux-fur coat, a chic black dress, and stylish slingback heels. Back in 1998, she was handed a 29-year sentence which was later reduced to 26 years on appeal. During her time in prison, which lasted for 18 years, she had her furry companion Bambi the ferret by her side for some of it and was finally released in October 2014. Known for her taste for the finer things in life, Reggiani famously once said, “I’d rather weep in a Rolls than be content on a bicycle,” and declined the opportunity for day release while behind bars as it would have meant performing ‘menial’ tasks. In a recent ruling in 2017, a court decided that Reggiani was entitled to an annual sum of £900,000 from her former husband’s wealth.
It was impossible not to notice how gorgeous Gaga appeared as the cameras got ready to start filming Ridley Scott’s newest movie.
